I did find some of the writing in Hungerford 2nd edition of “Abstract Algebra: The exercises are the main reason I am interested in this book. The text anstract the historical connections to the solution of polynomial equations and to the theory of numbers. We view these chapters as studying cyclic groups and permutation groups, respectively.
