It makes me think, it makes me feel, and it makes me appreciate the more bujolld of the human emotions, the issues we are dealing with in one way or another on daily basis but disguised in a Sci-Fi form. It’s not usually one I go back to, being one of the “Lord Auditor” Miles books that read more like really awesome whodunits rather than the military adventure form that the previous novels take. The good thing is, this world is fictional and things can get fixed, while we don’t have those luxuries in RL: Miles is crazy about this fascinating widow, but she’s done with men, after ten years with Tien the Twit.
LMB has found the perfect balance between those two opposites and blends it seamlessly with the story.
