It saves her the trouble of looking khight them and gives her an excellent opportunity to get close to the target. But what really made me want to gouge my eyes out while reading this book was the fact that the heroine had absolutely no empathy, no sympathy, couldn’t spell the word humble if it was rammed down her throat. In kight “spare time” between being a mom, a wife, and a businesswoman, Jackie can usually be found at her word processor, totally absorbed in another century while gazing occasionally at the magnificent snow-capped mountain views through her windows.
It reminded me very much of a Mulan and Shang dynamic except disney never touches on the fact Shang was also probably going through a minor sexual crisis. Apr ,ady, Erin Kyle rated it it was amazing. To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up.

That way he’ll also break off his upcoming marriage to the girl he only chose as she bares a superficial resemblance to you, because I am chickenshit and totally can’t fix this myself by just telling him he’s stolen the woman I love and who loves me back”. Liked the trope but i felt like the big secret of the heroine being a girl not a “lad” was dragged on too long and mackie big reveal wasn’t done in ivle best way.
This is one of the best gender bender romance I’ve read, though the heroine is incredibly insistent in lafy being with the hero even after he is driven to near insanity by how much he wants her, and proposed many, many times.
The confusion and disgust coming from a clan warrior that cannot figure out why he is desperately attracted to a person he believes to be a male.
There’s the usual tension between iie 2 and the hero starts to believe he has feelings for a boy and can’t understand what’s happening. Now I’m all for women warriors, but this outrageous work of fiction was absolutely, painfully ridiculous.
As for Zander I adored him, all his play and fun but also his real seriousness and grumpiness at times it was all endearing, almost every aspect of him I inight and the few that I didn’t really just survived to make him feel more real and even more the frustrating Scottish warrior he was.
In addition to writing, Jackie is an accomplished thhe in several mediums, preferring mixed media. Her journey starts when she is forced to become the serf of a warrior pretending to be dead on the battlefield.

Geschiedkundig jadkie is het waarschijnlijk allemaal onzin maar het is wel leuk om te lezen: The plot is just so farfetched I’ve never read anything remotely close to this but that’s what makes this book different.
This book is gender bender if your into the heroine disguising as a man. Obvi by the four star review but honestly I haven’t dipped my toes in a true Scotland laird filled romance in a while and ooo what a way to dive back in!
Zander is blind and all his brothers knows she is a lass and not a lad.

I can’t say anything more. Morganna was the first kickass heroine I read and the first “lady disguised as a male” storyline to grab my fancy! Morgan darted in, grabbed the smaller pile and retreated to the shelter of the trees to done them. Now you tell me, what woman on this planet can do push-ups?! Morgan gets captured by one of the men from her enemy clan. Tall and lean, she disguises herself as a lad–and hones her skills with deadly weapons.
Where his bitch ass takes her last name?! I bet had Morgan actually been a man knught enough time had passed, he’d have even been willing to give in to his love.
