It’s people like her that would have you think that making bread is a skill only bestowed upon a chosen people who have the internal knowledge and inborn divinity to bring dough to rise again!

So far it has been my favorite for the subject of bread making, but I do have many others checked out from the library I did not read this cover to cover, but skipped around a lot and feel as though I have read the entire book. They tend to be simple enough for whole cultures to adapt to their tastes. Maybe I need a book about how to fake being an expert baker without exerting the energy. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get those lovely open holes in the crumb.

My only criticism of this book is that Levy Beranbaum stresses brand names too much. The new baking masterwork from the author of “The Cake Bible” and “The Pie and Pastry Bible” provides bread bakers with meticulous, foolproof recipes.

Granted, there are excellent drawings and detailed instructions. I borrowed this book from berqnbaum library and I don’t want to give it back.

I am determined to be a good bread baker. To add to The Bread Bible’s fabulousness, there is detailed information on subsitutions, with explanations of not only what will and won’t work but why.

the Bread Bible — Real Baking with Rose

Writing this review with the book next to me makes me want to bake bread right now!! Trivia About The Bread Bible. Her instructions are clear although the wordiness makes you beranbaun to skip them. Great reference for your baking journey, it has everything from A-Z: The book includes some good photos, but the are inexplicably relegated to the back of the e-book.

And I can’t rate it any higher here because the functionality is so lacking and because I simply no longer enjoy or admire such brezd rigorously specific approach to cooking.
