High-school senior Tyler Miller used to be the kind of guy who faded into the background. The book was so personal feeling. What Nick did was wrong, so obviously wrong.

The only thing I disliked a little was the fact that I never got to hear Caitlin’s bteathing of the story. Publisher’s Summary Nick is one of the chosen few at his high school: However, the guys in his anger management class and his ex-girlfriend Caitlin know differently. But when things start to spiral out of control, Nick must face the fact that he’s gotten more from his father than green eyes and money.
I think I write for young-adults because I never quite got over being one.

God, how did we get here? A fast simple read that was gripping, shocking and honest.

Was this really challenged to be banned from a school? I would definetly recommend this book to every teen who isn’t aware of situations like the one presented in this book. I would listen to Breathing Underwater again because its a good book and the audio it amazing. While I have a bio on Goodreads as a service to my readers, I do not visit Goodreads on a regular basis. Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn was one of them.
I think that this is a book that teens can relate with, not just on the level of real issues within the life of a teen, but also providing insight into how real and frightening relationship abuse can be.
