For me the chemistry between Julia and Brisbane is strong and moves the plot, not having them together for a large chunk of the book, slowed things for me.

I mean, you can’t really expect realism from this series. Why is it sometimes so hard to write a review for a book you loved as opposed to one you disliked? I think tea would be perfect with any of her cakes. I did actually guess the culprit before the big reveal, darrjeeling I enjoyed the unravelling nevertheless.
The ending is a complete shocker and left me wanting more, so this series is still one of my favourites and I look forward to the next book. Somehow either because of the setting of India or maybe it was all the new characters, Dark Road to Darjeeling just dwrjeeling not work as well for me as sarjeeling earlier instalments in the series. They push and pull at one another and yet complement each other very well. Julia’s husband, Brisbane, seemed a bit too stuffy for me. This is going to be less a review and more a gush-iew.
