This is my first book in the Warhammer Universe, many people have told it works as the perfect introduction to the universe and I agree. A good book A book about a member of the 40k imperial inquisition.

Xenos: Warhammer 40,000

I emerged, somewhat the worse for wear, to claim the hard-won knowledge that, with fantasy, I’d started at the summit and was busy working my way down. This book did make me laugh a little as in the begining the author said how excited he was to write for the Inquisition series as it’d be a chance to delve dqn the culture and worlds of 40k and see what life was like on all the different planets and not just focus on the battles of the space marines.

The Eisenhorn series is a fascinating step back from the never ending war abett the 41st Millennium and into the guts of the Imperium. In short, the entire book surrounds a stiff, unsmiling guy with no apparent vices or emotional range who is a hardline conservative within his organisation but not puritanical enough for it to be absurd and engaging. Then along comes moments like this, when you can’t help but cheer out loud.

Xenos – Dan Abnett

He has great power, cunning and is near, but not quite, immortal. Still, he faces enemies of equal abilities, sometimes even greater, being enhanced by zbnett magic.

Naturally, I was very excited to try out anything else he’s written. The story takes them across many different and odd worlds and by the end is a real page turner.

The performance was absolutely superb, with the variety of voices and dialects clear and entertaining. All the extreme violence aside Abnett excels at painting rich and fascinatingly detailed worlds and that’s exactly what you get along with engrossing characters and an exciting plot.
