We talk, meanderingly, for three hours; I’m knackered by the end, but Morris remains arm-wavingly irrepressible, and only stops because his wife is ill and rings from the house for a cuppa we also seem to be ending at tea. The theory, to my untutored ears, sounds tenuous, and for once Morris doesn’t express it very fluently manwatchiny he seems embarrassed to be relying on someone else’s thinking.

Your Excellency rated it liked it Jul 07, This felt very much like a TV series tie-in which I assume it was and wasn’t necessarily particularly ‘in depth’, but Morris did make this a very approachable introduction to sociology – talking about cultural differences, gender differences, and a variety of other areas in the context of subtle signals and gestures etc.
