Certainly a non-traditional Christmas story, very short in presentation, a little bit of a gem as well; no-nonsense in the telling as is Auggie Wren, a colorful character from whom the author received the story with the assurance that “every word is true.
Apr 19, Cari rated it liked it. We repeat stories, anecdotes and wishes nxvidad day, and in a very real way we live in our heads. And that is exactly what I did. Auggie picked up his wallet and instead of giving it to the police, he saved it, and he must have thought about it for a long time.
But he doesn’t want to write one of those mushy, gushy, sentimental stories that serve as “wishfulfillment dreams, fairy tales cueento adults. Then he begins to panic. Is this a good story to start reading this author?

Didn’t want the whole trip to be a waste so I went downstairs to the fiction section and decided to wander around until I found a book. The writer agrees, but he has a problem: Let me know what you think of it. Not perfect, but perfection is hard to recreate. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. No trivia or quizzes yet.
