Por fin me topo con un personaje adolescente y sobrenatural que tiene los pies puestos sobre la tierra y que además, se comporta más como Ángel que como.

El designio del ángel by Cynthia Hand (1 star ratings)
All those rave reviews. I chalk it up to the usual weirdness that is my life.
But every one has their own separate opinions. Hand has a habit of relaying action in a very choppy, repetitive, play-by-play manner: Sadly this book was not very good. I also wanted less high school drama and more angels.
El Designio del Angel
And, most i 2. Just your usual, run-of-the-mill, dramatic teenage novel. I think this is a book that would have benefitted highly from third-person perspective rather than first. That and the fact that her voice isn’t quite as engaging as you’d wish for. I was interested to find out what became of it, but really, when it got to the point where all was revealed, I found it quite predictable and unfulfilling.
La tierra desjgnio bajo mis pies. Remove that aspect and the love triangle and this book wouldn’t even be long enough to be a novella. The first half of the book dragged, and I found it a struggle to read at such a slow pace. My main problem with this book is that it begins with fynthia and ends with plot, but angdl absolutely no plot for the entire–and very long–middle.
The book has become dragging to me. They are just there to complicate her life and crate unnecessary drama. Clara just sucks it up with hardly any second thought and question, she never pauses and digests the idea of being an angel-blood eo what it really means. I am skinny and tall.
El designio del ángel
I thought she was smart, mysterious and a funny. I kind of expected more of this book. Miss Hand also offered me hardly anything to roof for Clara, after reading a book of pages I still know so little about her as a character.
She just comes off so lemming-like and obnoxious that I found myself annoyed at her for almost every bimbo thought she comes up with.
Everything’s fine, everybody’s sleeping, tranquil. In addition to Christian though, we have Tucker Avery – the annoying twin brother of Clara’s best friend, Wendy. Clara has a hissy fit when she doesn’t get the hang of flying right away.
Furthermore, I found the fact that Clara was so obsessed him to be rather startling and boring. In the end, that promise fell flat. Many things were just way too convenient for Clara, and I find it a tad plot devicey for including so many angel bloods in such a remote part of the country.
Well, I must say 10 pages or so. I’m just disappointed, I guess. I would enjoy it. And, most important, Tucker.
I know others have gone over this already, but I’m going to go over it too. And I couldn’t relate to how concerned she was with her popularity and how rude and condescending she was to her friend Wendy, who was always there for her.
Unearthly tells a story of a sixteen-year old girl, Clara Gardner, who is a one-fourth part angel. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
