I’m so angry I can’t see straight. I said before that I understood the need to picture a realistic world. She is at the hospital receiving care from Sara of course and this opens up a story line for her as well. I felt very keenly that I needed for readers to mourn alongside Sara, but I couldn’t let it be so raw that she couldn’t actually function, so I set the story a few years after Beyond Reach.
