So I have been seriously consider getting a kayak erg for this winter. When the weather gets really cold or the water freezes I would like to continue training. Does anyone know if there is a good brand kayak ergometer distributor in Sydney (or east coast), Australia? Last time I looked into it the only way you could . Does the design incorporate any of the electronics from the nordictrack to track distance and whatnot? If you don’t have the room, then an alternative is needed. These plans assume you will be able to obtain an older style Nordic Track ski machine made from a wooden frame as you will be using some of the mechanical and wooden parts from it. The “nose” is the old vertical, computer is the same, front legs were modified, back legs were the old skis.

I have two question.
Last time I looked into it the only way you could get hold of a decent one here was to import from the US. It is a fantastic alternative kaak either paddling on water or a gym work-out, as it supplies such a hard aerobic and muscular workout. Its smooth at the catch and really does feel like paddling.
What is the estimated cost of materials? I got the inspiration from the kayakpro catchforce. I am looking on craigslist for a Nordic Track ski machine there are many of them.
