It was a bad day if it was the “Bar fight” episodes. Although he always remained outside the circle of great writers who at that time dominated the Prague scene Max Brod, Franz Kafka and Franz Werfel, among othersthere may be some concomitance between the work of Ungar mutiilados the one of the authors of the circle, especially the one of Kafka, as far as the parabolic style of its narrations and the description of the individual like victim of its own fears is concerned.
While this is happening Franz must also contend with his oldest friend Karl who is slowly dying of a disease that is wasting lks both his body and mind. Now the rounded woman has been a goddess associated with fertility and life since the Babylonians at least.
Interestingly, the relationship between Franz and Karl is the only relationship, at least for Franz, where physical intimacy is an expression of love not a an act of compliance stemming from fear.
